Under what circumstances is it morally acceptable to rebel against the government?”
We have every right as citizens of the United States to rebel against our government when we feel the circumstances are sufficient enough to take that very step. Before we do this however, we need to examine our government and decide whether or not there is a need to rebel.
One circumstance that would enable us to rebel is if the government was not putting the needs of its people first. The rights of the citizens of the United States are the most important and should be what the government is trying to improve on and putting this first. We, as people, elect others to represent us in this world. When those representatives no longer act based on what is right for the people, this is a great example of when we should rise up and replace the government with one that does.
Some citizens may disagree with a few of their views on life such as war. If the government wants to go to war and the people feel hat they have no reason to do so, they may feel the need to rebel and voice their opinion openly. This is understandable and should happen, if the majority of the people feel that way. However, if a small minority disagree with the government, they should reevaluate their thoughts and think about why they are feeling the way they do.
In the end, you need to stand up for what you believe in. If you strongly disagree with your government, voice your opinion and you might be heard.
